How To Live a Life of Mastery and Fulfillment

Most people would love to believe the life I live comes easily as I grew up in a blue collar, hard working type of family. They couldn’t be any more wrong. My life came with a struggle, both physical and personal. I was athletic as a child, but skinny. I didn’t find my love for fitness until I realized what my purpose was in my life.

That is the most difficult thing I had to do, beyond bodybuilding and starting a business. It wasn’t until I discovered my purpose did everything begin to flow and make sense. How do I go about finding it? I’ll tell you right here:

Work hard and God will prosper you. (Deuteronomy 28:8) But also work SMART
Nothing will beat good, old fashioned hard work. Not talent, genetics or money.
A man must do everything he can to provide for his family.
In my eyes, any body can start a family, but only a real man to provide everything for them. It's not easy and, by todays standard, not very common; but it's how I was raised and it's what I believe. Don't have children if you don't plan on doing everything for them.
Trials develop your character, preparing you for increased blessings.
In my eyes; You work, you get paid. If you don't work, you don't get paid. It's that simple. Every payment is a blessing, not an entitlement.
Take responsibility for the problems that are the result of your own bad decisions.
If you can't accept your own responsibility for your own actions, you'll never get anywhere.
See challenges as stepping stones, not obstacles.
Life is about perception. If you see nothing but obstacles, that's all you will get. If you see nothing but stepping stones, you'll get to where you want to be.
Be meek before God but Bold before men.
This is very self explanatory if you have faith. You may not agree, but this is how it worked for me.
Having a goal means creating a plan of action to achieve that goal, and then remaining PERSISTENT until it comes to pass.
I like to refer to the term "program hopper". The kind of person who jumps on a plan, gives it a day and jumps to another. Things take time to grow and you must put in your time.
The secret to living is giving. (find someone who is worse off than you and help them)
You cannot forget to give back. Do unto others and don't do it for a reward.
Feed and Strengthen your mind every day (spend at least 30 minutes per day listening to audio/reading)
You won't progress unless you train your mind. This means reading/listening to something to better yourself. Buy an audiobook and listen to it while training or doing cardio. Take time to read part of a book before you go to bed. It'll pay off in the end.
Practice gratitude 3-5 minutes first thing in the morning and before bed (What 3 things are you thankful for today?)
If you focus ONLY on the negative, you'll only get it. Instead, focus on what you have and your blessings. Your life will change because of it.

I’m not the kind of Christian that will shove their religion down your throat ( I’m actually really against that ) but I’m the kind of man to tell you like it is. You don’t have to believe in God to be successful, you just have to believe in yourself.

So what are you waiting for?
